Huey Slims

Huey Slims is a 20-year-old rapper, producer, and engineer from Cleveland, Ohio. He currently attends Ohio University as a senior majoring in Music Production. Influenced by the likes of Earl Sweatshirt, J Dilla, Capital Steez, and Kendrick Lamar, Huey’s signature style is marked by methodical and heartfelt raps over slow, intimate, and abstract production. Regular themes in Huey’s music include the exploration of trauma, love, and healing. Falling in love with Hip-Hop at age 13, Huey would go on to write many poems which over time developed into full-length songs. After his sudden homeschooling as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Huey went on a hiatus from rapping to focus all his efforts on learning production, granting him complete artistic freedom. Now, Huey emerges from the shadows to shock the world.

Top’d Off

Top’d off is a blues/funk rock band from Athens, OH. The band is made up of Jake on lead guitar and vocals, Collin on Bass, and Ethan on drums. They are an expressive trio whose major influences include Jimi Hendrix, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and D’Angelo. With their music, their goal is to create meaningful experiences from improvisation and feeling.

The HouseGuest, an emerging indie rock trio, is making a mark on the Athens music scene. Comprised of Leah Marshall, Ben Kloppman, and Sean Pierce; the band is elevating musical expression. Leah, the guitarist, showcases intricate guitar work and emotive vocals, crafting a captivating and complex sound. Bassist Ben breaks away from traditional straight-eight playing, creating unique lines with a powerful bop. Drummer Sean, known for his dynamic range and technical background, shapes a contemporary sound that defines the group’s distinctive groove. With notable performances at Casa Nueva, The Union, and Donkey Coffee, the band appeals to diverse audiences. Together, The HouseGuest rejuvenates the indie rock genre, offering a fresh perspective for music enthusiasts! 

Young King Noah

Young King Noah is a 21-year-old music artist from Cleveland, Ohio. As a kid, Noah got into music and poetry after his sister introduced him to rappers like Jay-Z and Eminem. Noah started freestyling and rapping for fun, learning how to switch flows on different beats, and developing versatility in his style from a young age. He made his first song during his freshman year of high school, and he has been releasing music ever since. He currently resides in Athens, Ohio and he is going to school at Ohio University for Music Production. His goal is to offer listeners music that can place a microscope over his own world in order to help these listeners find an escape. Noah is excited to work with Brick City to elevate his music and to further conceptualize his goals as an artist.
